Top seed Justine Henin has progressed into the third round at Wimbledon thanks to a straight sets victory over Russia's Vera Dushevina.
The world number one claimed the first set 6-0 and the second set 6-4 as Dushevina made her work harder to secure the victory.
Henin claimed she had switched off a little having taken the first set so convincingly but vowed she was not affected by being the pre-tournament favourite.
She said: "I don't listen to any talk about being favourite or what people are saying about that. It does not bother me."
The Belgian said that she had been troubled by her ankle during her first two matches at the tournament but insisted that it would not be a problem that would stop her from playing.
Elsewhere former champion Martina Hingis also progressed into the third round thanks to a 6-1 6-2 win over Japan's Aiko Nakamura.
The world number 11 nearly dropped her opening service game and had to save two break points. After that initial scare Hingis dominated the match as Nakamura made a series of unforced errors, winning the contest in just over an hour.
Third seed Jelena Jankovic joined fellow Serb Ana Ivanovic in the third round after winning her second round match in resounding style, beating Czech Jarmila Gajdosova 6-1 6-1.
12th seed Elena Dementieva was forced to battle against France's Nathalie Dechy. After claiming the first set 6-2 the second set went to a tie-break, however, the Russian eventually prevailed 9-7 to take the match.
