David Healy's prolific international form continued as his solitary strike sealed a 1-0 win for Northern Ireland in their Euro 2008 qualifier with Latvia at Windsor Park.
The forward, who bagged an incredible hat-trick against Spain last month, found the net in the 35th minute and his goal was good enough to separate the sides and help Lawrie Sanchez's team draw level with Denmark on seven points in group F.
In the same group, Sweden defeated Iceland 2-1 in Reykjavik meaning they now lead the group on 12 points.
In group G, Holland beat Albania 2-1 with Arsenal's Robin van Persie scoring their first and they now lead by two points from Bulgaria.
France beat the Faroe Islands 5-0 to draw level with Scotland at the top of group B thanks to two goals from David Trezeguet and one each from the English based trio of Louis Saha, Thierry Henry and Nicolas Anelka.
Germany defeated Welsh slayers Slovakia 4-1 through a double from Lukas Podolski, plus strikers from Michael Ballack and Bastien Schweinsteiger. This moves them to second in a group they share with Wales and Ireland, while the German's retain a game in hand on leaders the Czech Republic.
Elsewhere, world champions Italy won 3-1 away to Georgia and there was a rarest of wins for Malta who beat Hungary 2-1.
