A strong earthquake has hit Tibet

A strong earthquake has hit Tibet this morning, although there are currently no reports of any fatalities.
The US Geological Survey (USGS) reported the quake as being of 6.6 magnitude and confirmed it struck at 09:30 BST.
The epicentre of the earthquake was recorded at a depth of 6.2 miles and at around 50 miles from the Tibetan capital of Lhasa.
They are no immediate reports of fatalities or damage as a result of the quake.
The earthquake comes after 60 people were killed in another quake in Kyrgyzstan on Sunday.
There the quake was recorded at 6.6-magnitude with reports suggesting that more than 100 buildings were destroyed in the province of Osh.
