A teenage boy will appear in court today charged with the murder of 14-year-old Londoner David Idowu.

David, of Southwark, died of multiple stab wounds at the Royal London hospital three weeks after being attacked on Great Dover Street and Becket Street during the evening rush hour on June 17th.

A 16-year-old boy is due to appear at Camberwell Green youth court later today. The youth, who cannot be named, previously appeared at the same court charged with David's attempted murder.

David was the 19th teenager to be murdered in London this year, with Melvin Bryan, 18, since becoming the 20th.

His parents have paid tribute to their son, saying he had been inspired by the good actions of world leaders and counted former US president Bill Clinton as one of his heroes

"He was the light of this house, organised and managed things. He was very good in computing," his father Tim Idowu added.

"I never attended any courses in computing, David taught me at home to be computer literate. Our lives can never be the same again."End of story
