A male youth has become the 18th teenager to be killed in London this year after dying from stab wounds.
Shakilus Townsend, 16, died in St George's hospital shortly after midnight on Friday.
He was found suffering from stab wounds at a block of flats on Beulah Crescent, Thornton Heath, south London, at 14:00 BST yesterday.
A spokesman for the Metropolitan police said a witness appeal was due to be launched.
