Veteran actor Harvey Keitel has joined the cast of the upcoming Meet the Parents sequel Little Fockers, it has been announced.
The Reservoir Dogs star, most recently seen in adventure hit National Treasure: Book of Secrets, will play a contractor employed by Ben Stiller's character in the Universal production, according to the Hollywood Reporter.
Stiller will be rejoined by Teri Polo, Robert De Niro, Blythe Danner and Owen Wilson for the film, with a 2010 release planned for Universal Pictures and Tribeca Productions.
Directed by Paul Weitz and with a script from John Hamburg, Little Fockers is expected to continue the family comedy's plotline, with Stiller's character Gaylord Focker and his onscreen wife Pamela Byrnes (Polo) expecting a child or, as has been rumoured, twins.
Laura Dern has also been confirmed as a cast member, while Fantastic Four actress Jessica Alba is to play an attractive pharmaceutical saleswoman whose charms cause problems for the film's male characters.
Keitel, renowned for the likes of Bad Lieutenant and Mean Streets, will next be seen in independent film A Beginner's Guide to Endings.
