The Help for Haiti charity single is number one in the UK for a second week running, closely followed by a special charity release from Dizzee Rascal and Florence + the Machine.
A donation from every copy of You Got the Dirtee Love - sung by Dizzee and Florence at this week's Brit awards - will go towards to the Brit Trust, which supports young musicians and other charity appeals, until March 18th.
Simon Cowell's version of Everybody Hurts, originally sung by REM but re-recorded featuring the talents of Alexandra Burke, Cheryl Cole, James Morrison, JLS, Kylie Minogue, Leona Lewis, Michael Buble, Mika, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Susan Boyle and Take That, is still number one. Proceeds from the single go towards the Haiti earthquake appeal.
"For so many charity records to be sold in such a short space of time shows just how generous the British public are - it adds up to 600,000 charity singles in the past two weeks across these two releases," said Martin Talbot, managing director of the Official Charts Company.
In the albums chart, Glee: The Music Volume 1 was the top-seller after numerous tracks from the E4/Channel 4 show dominated the singles chart.
Lady Gaga's The Fame and Florence + The Machine's Lungs are at two and three meanwhile have seeing their combined sales boosted by 53 per cent following this week's Brit awards.
Robbie Williams, Jay-Z, Lily Allen, Kasabian and Dizzee Rascal all also saw a big increase in their album sales.
"Again the Brits shows that not only can it attract a huge television audience, but it can also sell records in large numbers too," Talbot added.
