Four goals from debutant Paul Cooke were not enough to prevent Hull KR going down 28-16 to Huddersfield in a nail-biting match in Super League.
Cooke completed his controversial transfer earlier today from rivals Hull after the Rugby Football League accepted his registration for the Rovers.
The 26-year-old's goal in the second half edged his side ahead after the hosts had trailed 8-12 at the break.
But tries from Stephen Wild and Jamahl Lolesi in the closing stages gave the visitors their fifth straight victory.
Andreas Bauer and Stanley Gene scored the tries for Hull KR while Stuart Jones and Andy Raleigh had earlier touched down for the Giants.
Elsewhere, Leeds have gone top of Super League after a 54-8 win over the Catalan Dragons.
The Rhinos rammed in eight tries through Clinton Toopi, Gareth Ellis, Scott Donald, Rob Burrow and braces from Brent Webb and skipper Kevin Sinfield.
Sinfield continued his impressive season with five goals to put the Rhinos above rivals Bradford in the table.
The Dragons scored a try in each half through Oliver Charles and Adam Mogg.
Elsewhere, Wigan rammed in nine tries to beat rock-bottom Salford 50-24
Trent Barratt bagged a hat-trick of tries for the Warriors while Phil Bailey, Thomas Leuluai and Harrison Hansen touched down to put the hosts in command.
Darrell Goulding and a brace from Shane Millard in the closing stages completed the rout.
Andy Coley scored a hat-trick of tries for the Reds while Simon Finnigan and Aaron Moule also crossed the line.
