Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard admitted he was disappointed with the goalless draw with Wolves, but was happy to have returned from injury earlier than planned.
The midfielder was unable to inspire the Merseyside club to a victory - which saw them lose ground in the race for fourth place after Spurs' 2-0 win over Fulham - and Gerrard revealed his obvious disappointment.
He said: "It was good to be back playing again, but we are all disappointed with the result.
"We now have to look ahead to the next game and I am looking forward to it."
The England international has been out injured since the FA Cup replay defeat to Reading, but said he was happy to have returned ahead of schedule.
"I am really happy to be back so soon," he continued.
"The physio told me it would be two to three weeks so to I am pleased to make it back in under two."
Gerrard also revealed he was impressed with Wolves' display, which saw them halt a three-game losing streak in the league.
"I thought Wolves defended very well throughout the game," the Reds captain admitted.
"It wasn't the best pitch to try and string a few passes together but despite not scoring, we were also happy with how we defended ourselves."
