Italy star Gennaro Gattuso has dismissed newspaper reports linking him with a move to Manchester United.
The AC Milan midfielder has reportedly been one of the player's on United's shopping list to bolster their midfield as Gattuso's club could be relegated in the match fixing scandal that has engulfed Serie A.
But the former Rangers midfielder, 28, has insisted that his future remains with the Rossineri regardless of the outcome of the match fixing trial.
He said: "I am certain that I will remain at AC Milan and that I will play in Serie A next season."
"If this doesn't happen, then I will talk to the club and hope to remain and finish my career at Milan."
He added: "At this point, I cannot think of another club wanting me or anything else but Sunday's final.
"This game is bigger than myself, I have never expected to be able to play a World Cup final, so all my energy is directed at this."
The midfield stalwart has been one of the stars in the Azzurri's World Cup run and is expected to play in Sunday's final against France in Berlin.
Newspaper reports claimed the Old Trafford club had held talks with the representatives of Gattuso in Germany without the involvement of AC Milan.
Gattuso's national manager Marcello Lippi has also been linked with a coaching role at the eight-time Premiership champions.
But Gattuso has said he "hopes Lippi will stay" following a successful World Cup campaign, which could see the Italians lift their fourth world crown on Sunday.
