FTSE 100 steady in early trade
FTSE 100 gains 0.12 per cent to 5,273.09 in early trading on Thursday

The FTSE 100 remained steady in early trading on Thursday, gaining 0.12 per cent to 5,273.09 by 09:00 GMT.
Satellite communications firm Inmarsat led the risers, up by 4.92 per cent, closely followed by Wolseley, up by 4.19 per cent.
BT Group was also trading higher, up by 3.94 per cent to 147.60p, after the telecommunications firm raised its outlook and reported good progress with its cost cutting.
However, a trading update from energy services provider Amec had the opposite effect, sending shares in the firm 3.93 per cent lower.
Amec said trading is in line with expectations, but admitted that its order book is down slightly since the end of June.
Mining stocks were also weighing on the index, edging it lower. Randgold Resources fell by 1.73 per cent, while Vedanta Resources was down by 0.96 per cent.
Last night in the US, the Dow Jones rose 0.43 per cent and the S&P 500 was up by 0.5 per cent.
