FTSE 100 dips 0.27 per cent in early trading on Thursday morning

The FTSE 100 was down 14.31 points, 0.27 per cent, at 09:55 GMT with Reckitt Benckiser a top riser following reports of Colgate interest.
Reckitt Benckiser a top blue chip riser was up 2.9 per cent, while Royal Dutch Shell was up 1.18 per cent.
There was a small rise of 0.53 per cent for Morrison WM Supermarkets, following an announcement yesterday its chief executive would be heading to Marks and Spencer in the new year.
SABMiller rose 4.16 per cent after it beat forecasts with a six per cent rise in first-half earnings.
Pennon Group was up 3.89 per cent, or 18.7 points, after it saw strong profit growth in the first half due to a solid performance in its water operations.
