France remain on course for the Six Nations crown after a comfortable 46-20 victory over Italy in Paris.
The home side dominated throughout and the tie was effectively over by half-time after two tires from centre David Marty and one from Imanol Harinordoquy helped France to a 22-3 lead at the break.
The French ran in a total of six tries throughout the game, with Morgan Parra adding another 14 points with the boot.
Marc Andreu, Yannick Jauzion and Alexandre Lapandry all crossed after the break, handing the home side a 46-6 lead.
Italy then mounted something of a comeback with a spirited late rally bringing the visitors tries through replacements Carlo Del Fava and Pablo Canavosio, with Mirco Bergamasco kicking both conversions.
The Italian effort was in vain though and only England now stand in the way of a ninth Grand Slam for France when Martin Johnson's men travel to Paris next weekend following the disappointing draw to Scotland on Saturday.
