Nottingham Forest eventually overcame Salisbury 2-0 in their FA Cup replay to end the dreams of the non-league outfit, as the League One side set up a tie with Premiership Charlton.

Salisbury held their own for much of the game and went in at half-time with the scores deservedly still level at 0-0 but after the break the home side made their class show.

Nathan Tyson grabbed the first goal after 53 minutes after Junior Agogo set him free and his strike was good enough to get past Salisbury goalkeeper Ryan Clarke.

But the tie was not safe until Nicky Southall slotted home in the 81st minute to the relief of the City Ground, despite the Salisbury players' appeals to the officials for offside.

The shock of the night occurred when Torquay, who are second from bottom in League Two and have only won four league games all season, beat League One side Leyton Orient 2-1.

The hero was Jordan Robertson, who bagged both Torquay goals in the second half.

His first came after 52 minutes before James Walker equalised for the O's but Robinson got the winner ten minutes from time to set up a game with Southampton.

League Two side Bristol Rovers overcame League One strugglers Bournemouth 1-0. Richard Walker got the winner just after the hour mark in a hard fought encounter.

Bournemouth felt unlucky when they had a goal ruled out for offside in injury time but it was Rovers who will go on to meet Hereford in the next round.
