Andrew Flintoff has admitted that he and coach Duncan Fletcher are considering making changes to the bowling line-up.
England's bowlers misfired once again in the third one-day international in Goa. The bowling attack allowed India to reach a massive total of 294 on a pitch many people had predicted would be difficult to score on.
Controversially, England have stuck to just one spinner and four seam bowlers despite the dominance of India's spin attack.
Flintoff said: "We will have to look at it if we think the wicket is going to play spin. The four seamers have been successful in Test matches and have bowled well so far but maybe in Cochin we will have a look at that."
Pundits claim England's main problem is that none of the spinners who have played have really demanded to be included by producing top quality spin bowling. Shaun Udal and Monty Panesar failed to make much of an impact in the Test Series.
Stand-in captain Flintoff explained that the game today was in difficult circumstances: "It wasn't perfect preparation losing Kevin, and Matthew Hoggard was also ill, but we came here with a side.
"It was hot out here and the ball was bobbling about a little bit but we have four matches to play and we can still get back into this series. We can't think about being tired just yet - we have four games to play, four games we must win."
England have now lost all three of the opening one-dayers and must win the remaining four to come from behind and win the seven game series.
