The first images from the set of the third film in The Twilight Saga, Eclipse, have been revealed in US magazine People.

While New Moon, the second film based on Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novels, is set for release next month, director David Slade is currently shooting the third movie in the series in Vancouver.

Released in July 2010, Eclipse sees British actor Robert Pattinson returning as vampire Edward Cullen, the object of teenage girl Bella's (Kristen Stewart) affections.

As production company Summit Entertainment gear up for the November 20th release of New Moon, People magazine has obtained a first look at Eclipse, with three brand new images featuring Pattinson and Stewart in character.

While more Twilight pictures can be seen in the upcoming issue of People, film site IESB.net and fan blog Lion and Lamb have scanned and published the on-set photos online, which can be seen below:
