Pendulum: The top was further than we thought

Pendulum's second album was released on May 12th
Australian drum 'n' bass stars Pendulum have admitted that creating their second album was more difficult than they ever imagined it would be.

In Silico was released on Monday May 12th and after the top ten success of recent single Propane Nightmares, is expected to reach the upper echelons of the UK album chart, with some industry monitors predicting a number one debut.

With the crossover group having sold out their UK tour for the second time running and Radio 1 DJ Zane Low having labelled their performance at the 1 Big Weekend mini-festival as his "moment of the weekend", the Warner Bros/Ear Storm Records artists look to have broken through.

However, they explained that making their eagerly-anticipated sophomore record was harder than they had expected.

"We went into this album with the attitude that it would be easy, determined to avoid the cliche of a second album being difficult, but it was five times harder than we ever imagined it would be," the band said.

"We underestimated the amount of work that had to go into it to make it turn out the way we wanted it to, but I think we've achieved that, and we hope you all enjoy it.

"This is a new way," they added.
