Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has admitted a charge of improper conduct over his comments about Premier League referee Alan Wiley.
Ferguson claimed the official was not physically fit after watching his side held to a 2-2 draw against Sunderland earlier this month.
And despite later apologising for his comments, the Football Association charged the United boss with improper conduct.
Ferguson has requested a personal hearing, which is yet to be scheduled, although the referees union Prospect has called for the Scot to be handed a touchline ban - citing several incidents of abusing match officials in the past.
After his side's 2-0 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield on Sunday, Ferguson was also critical of referee Andre Marriner - saying he thought several decisions were influenced by the home supporters.
