Following the impending sale of Joleon Lescott, Everton manager David Moyes will look to strengthen his squad with no less then four players before next week's transfer deadline.
Russian Midfielder Diniyar Bilyaletdinov from Lokomotiv Moscow is a dead cert, costing the Merseyside club around £10 million. Other possibilities include centre-halves David Wheater, Robert Huth and Swiss international Philippe Senderos.
Meanwhile Manchester City are planning to add at least another player to their ever increasing squad in the form of former Arsenal left back Sylvinho. The Barcelona reserve player who is available on a free transfer will battle with Wayne Bridge for a starting role. The richest club in the world have also made tentative enquires into the availability of Argentinean playmaker Juan Roman Riquelme.
Real Madrid may be set to take pity on Manchester United and throw them a bone in the form of winger Arjen Robben. The move would cost the champions £20 million to complete but is a possibility as the Spanish giants are desperate to trim their squad following their massive outlays this summer.
