Saracens' league convert Andy Farrell has been named at inside centre for Sunday's Guinness Premiership clash with Leicester Tigers.
The former Wigan Warriors captain has been at the centre of an unseemly row over where his future in the 15-man code lies, with his club coach Alan Gaffney initially utilising the 31-year-old at flanker.
Andy Robinson and the rest of the England coaching staff appeared to have different ideas however and have attempted to mould Farrell into a centre during training sessions.
With the Rugby Football Union part-funding his 2005 switch to the Vicarage Road outfit, there is considerable pressure for Gaffney to bring his plans for the player into line despite handing him his first three starts for the club at blindside.
He will be joined in midfield by Kevin Sorrell as the north London side attempt to close the gap on the Midlands rivals.
Tevita Vaikona, Shane Byrne, Kris Chesney, Tom Ryder and Paul Gustard are the five other changes to the side that lost at Kingsholm to Gloucester last weekend.
