Arsenal playmaker Cesc Fabregas has admitted that it makes him "happy" to be linked with Spanish giants Real Madrid.

The 20-year-old has long been linked with Madrid and their chairman Ramon Calderon has openly talked about signing the Spanish international. But Fabregas has assured Arsenal fans that he is still fully committed to the Gunners.

"Everybody already knows it makes me happy that a team like Real Madrid wants me. It is a great compliment," said Fabregas.

"But now I am at Arsenal and I want to win the Premier League. Right now, I would die for Arsenal.

"Here I feel very relaxed and important, and for me that is fundamental. That is invaluable. I enjoy playing."

Fabregas came to Arsenal as a 16-year-old from Barcelona and he has been linked with a move back to his homeland ever since he became a permanent member of the Arsenal first team, and the Spaniard says he can't guarantee where his future will lie.

"At the age I am now, with all that has happened and when you see how things change in football, it is very difficult for me to say that I am going to go or that I am going to stay," he said.

"It depends on many factors. Now I am happy, but you never know what is going to happen."

Fabregas has become the fulcrum of Arsenal's attacking play after the departure of Thierry Henry last summer and has already scored 11 goals this season.
