A brace of tries from Max Evans gave Glasgow a 20-14 win over the Newport-Gwent Dragons in the Magners League at Rodney Parade.
Evans scored a try in each half while fly-half Dan Parks booted over a conversion and a penalty to give the Warriors their first away win of the season.
The Dragons, who led 14-10 at the break, scored an early try from Gareth Wyatt while Aled Thomas kicked over three penalties.
Dragons head coach Paul Turner made eight changes with Wyatt, Thomas, Adam Black, and Rhys Thomas returning.
In the back five, Adam Jones, Luke Charteris, Jamie Ringer, captain Colin Charvis return and Michael Owen were all given the nod.
The win for the Warriors cements their place in fifth while the Dragons remain in eighth spot.
Furious Dragons coach Paul Turner warned that many of his players would be axed at the end of the season.
"We should have won that game three times over. It was an accident waiting to happen," Turner said.
"We lost it rather than Glasgow winning it because we were not good enough and my players have been made aware of that.
"We didn't have enough power, too often chose the wrong options, didn't gain enough territory, kept giving the ball away and had a lack of intelligence on the rugby field.
"Some players will be leaving us at the end of the season but we, as a team, must dig in now."
Meanwhile, Glasgow coach Sean Lineen said he was happy with a scrappy win.
"We're delighted because that's our first away win of the season and we must keep that going," Lineen said.
"Our local derby versus Edinburgh is our next fixture, they beat us over Christmas in the last minute and we're looking to redeem ourselves after that defeat."
