Eoin Morgan claims he will not change the way he plays his natural game if selected for England's Test side to face Bangladesh at Lords this week.
The Twenty20 star has been named in England's 12-man squad for the first Test and is widely expected to be named as the sixth batsman in Andrew Strauss' side.
Morgan wowed the crowds recently in the Caribbean with his dynamic shot selection and was instrumental in guiding England to victory in the ICC World Twenty20.
Speaking at Lords on Tuesday, the 23-year-old said he had no worries about attempting to play exciting shots such as his trademark reverse-sweep during a five day Test match.
"Absolutely not. I've played the reverse sweep a million times, I've got out to it whatever ten per cent of the time but it's scored me 90 per cent of the runs," he said.
Asked if he had the patience for the longer form of the game and the strain of batting for hours on end, Morgan countered by declaring he had always dreamed of playing Test cricket.
On his readiness of batting for long periods, the Middlesex player joked: "Yeah I think so. I think I might get about 400, which wouldn't be a bad start."
On playing Test cricket, he added: "Test cricket is my biggest aspiration and the biggest dream. I grew watching England play Test cricket and I wanted to be like some of my heroes so it's where I want to be."
