A woman in Nottinghamshire has become the sixth person to die as a result of the heavy flooding seen in England and Wales earlier this week.
Police said the woman, who will not be named until her next of kin have been informed, was found in a fishing lake near Barmby Road, Newark, earlier today.
A Nottinghamshire police spokesman said officers had attended the scene after receiving reports from members of the public of a body.
"A search was carried out and a woman's body was discovered at 15:00 BST," the representative said.
A post-mortem is due to be carried out as police determine how the woman died, although the force have already said the death is not being treated as suspicious.
Five people died in the last week as torrential rainfall led to at least 1,000 properties being flooded across England and Wales.
After some areas of the Midlands and South Yorkshire received a month's worth of rain in a single day, the Met office is predicting 50mm of rainfall for the coming weekend in the same areas.
