The charity song featuring all 12 finalists from the current series of The X Factor has shot straight to the top of the singles chart.
You Are No Alone, a cover of the Michael Jackson song, was released last week in aid of Great Ormond Street Hospital and aims to match the £1 million raised by last year's X Factor charity single.
"Following last year's record in aid of Help For Heroes we decided we wanted to do something annually on the show to help good causes," said X Factor judge Simon Cowell.
"This year we chose to work with Great Ormond Street to help raise funds and awareness for their incredible work.
"I'm very proud of the single and I really hope it raises an enormous amount of money for people who really need our help"
The only other new entry in the singles chart came from 20-year-old US singer Jason DeRulo, whose debut single Whatcha Say entered at number three.
Former X Factor winner Leona Lewis entered the album charts at number one with her new effort Echo matching the first-week chart position of her debut Spirit.
Queen's greatest hits package Absolute Greatest entered at number three, with N-Dubz' Against All Odds at number six and Will Young's The Hits at number nine.
