Television comedian David Walliams has completed his cross-channel swim in an excellent time of ten and a half hours.
The Little Britain actor and writer was taking part in the challenge to raise money for Sport Relief.
He shocked himself by recording one of the 50 fastest Channel swims of all time, he said: "How did that happen?
"I've never done anything sporty before, I don't know what happened. I think it must be all the good vibes. I did it much faster than I thought, I thought I would do it in about 14 hours.
"I feel relieved, I felt there needed to be a happy ending to this story and there is. Now it's nice to just relax. I'm just sitting on the boat, eating a Tracker bar and having a cup of tea."
Walliams explained that he kept himself going by remembering Morrissey and Abba songs to keep his mind busy.
The comedian has already raised £400,000 for charity and hopes to reach half a million pounds for good causes.
Sport Relief say that they are not sure exactly where in France their man swam to, but that he has made his way back by boat.
