She has been a singer, actress and designer and now Jessica Simpson is going to try her hand at public relations.
The ditzy Newlyweds star has taken on the role of publicist after her father and manager Joe Simpson fired her spokesperson.
The incident is said to have occurred after a story appeared on the cover of People magazine with the blonde bombshell telling the world she was in love with singer John Mayer.
The relationship, played out to be the first major affair for Simpson following her divorce from Nick Lachey, turned out to be a publicity stunt.
"It's been very emotional," Simpson told Jane magazine of the split with her former rep.
"But I am my own publicist right now. I've called all the heads of the tabloids. I don't want anyone else to speak for me now."
The sexy star is using the opportunity to set the record straight about any gossip surrounding her.
"It felt good to call them, but it was hard to find forgiveness," Simpson said of her contact with the gossip magazines.
The paparazzi favourite says anyone claiming to be a 'close friend' in an article is anything but.
"Trust me, if inside sources were my friends, the magazines would have a lot juicier info!" she said.
