Shahbaz Chaudhury has quit the Big Brother house after less than a week on the reality television show.
The overly-dramatic Glaswegian made the decision to walk after Big Brother producers presented him with an ultimatum in a nutshell, get on or get out.
Theatrical Shahbaz had become increasingly alienated from his fellow housemates since the season began last Thursday following days of rows and ration-thieving.
At the prompting of Richard, the other housemates opted to ignore the self-styled "Paki-poof's" outbursts and sulks and give him the silent treatment.
It was reported that bosses on the show had placed the 37-year-old on suicide watch after the erratic attention-seeker declared: "I am a dead man walking. This is my last curtain call. I came here to die on this programme - I am going to prove it."
No doubt producers and housemates alike will be breathing a sigh of relief, after having been told to either make an effort to get on with the housemates or go home, Shahbaz chose the latter.
A statement from the show said: "Shahbaz has decided to leave the Big Brother house. He was unhappy and finding it increasingly difficult to integrate within the group dynamic of this year's housemates. Of course, all housemates are free to leave at any time as they have in past years."
He apparently will not be replaced by a substitute housemate and Friday's eviction is still set to commence as planned.
