Watching Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda discuss the ins and outs of relationships and men became a religious-like experience for many fans of Sex and the City, who were devastated when the series ended after a successful six-year run.
But all is not lost with new reports emerging that the New York socialites will be back on screens soon by agreeing to a film version of the hit show.
The HBO-produced comedy has been rumoured to be appearing in cinemas previously, but scheduling, contracts and rivalry are reportedly the reasons behind the delay.
However, America's OK! magazine is now revealing that Carrie and her Manolos will be continuing her adventures with Mr Big in the future.
"Obviously, there is still a lot to be worked out contractually, but it would be amazing to get this project off the ground," a source told the magazine.
Sex And the City was originally a book, before Melrose Place creator Darren Starr created it into a worldwide smash TV series.
The show starred sexy actresses Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon, Kim Cattrall and Kristen Davis.
