Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay flew to Afghanistan this week to prepare a Christmas dinner for British troops stationed in the war-torn country.
The frontman of Hell's Kitchen and the F-Word served up a turkey feast for 800 servicemen and women in volatile Helmand province.
And the 40-year-old told the Daily Mirror, who organised the trip, that it was "by far the most difficult cooking challenge" he had ever faced.
"But it was well worth it to see the look on the guys' faces when they came into the dining tent. It was absolutely brilliant," he added.
"I'm only sorry I couldn't do this for more of the men and women from the armed forces who are out here."
Commenting on the chef's Christmas grub, Royal Marine Lee Oliver from 42 Commando said "the food was absolutely delicious".
