Pop Idol boss on Rich List
The success of Pop Idol has created a fair few stars in its time, generating healthy amounts of cash for aspiring singers.
But there's one man who has done particularly well out of the reality television music show – top boss Simon Fuller.
The mastermind behind the X Factor, Pop Idol and American Idol has seen his personal fortune soar from £75m to £300m over the course of one year.
Fuller's rocketing wealth was revealed in the annual Sunday Times Rich List. It puts him in joint 192nd place with Queen Elizabeth II.
The 45-year-old, who owns the majority rights of the three wildly popular television shows, was once the manager of the Spice Girls and S Club 7.
He is now paid by the Beckhams to advise them on business matters.
Fuller divides his time between his Sussex manor, French villa, California vineyard and Los Angeles mansion.
The Spice Girls shot to fame while they were managed by Fuller, but he left them at the end of the 1990s just before they split up.
Fans thought that Fuller's departure from the successful girl group was caused by artistic differences between him and Geri Halliwell.
