Brazilian football star Pele will be immortalised in a 12kg book with a price tag of £1,600, thanks to a British publishing house.
The book will be filled with hundreds of rare pictures of the soccer legend, and only 2,500 copies will be produced.
But despite the high price, some copies have already been sold before the book has even been published.
One buyer, marketing executive Tim Moufarrige who collects limited edition books, said Pele would always be a sporting legend.
"Although Pele played in an era completely different from today's, he has remained everybody's favourite global football player," he told the Daily Star.
"He has remained in the limelight because he has done a lot of charity work. He has also spread the gospel of football around the world."
The book, which will be launched on June 14, will contain 1,700 pictures and more than 300,000 words of text written by top sports writers.
Pele, 65, played football for the Brazilian teams that won the World Cup in 1958, 1962 and 1970.
Ovais Naqvi, publisher of Gloria Books, said: "We wanted to do the ultimate book on football and Pele is the only ultimate subject in the sport.
"He sits way above any other player, in his longevity on the pitch and in his stature. If you love football, you love Pele."
