A new reality TV show will see top pop acts spend a month in a glass bubble in Trafalgar Square while they record an album.
Band In A Bubble is expected to see rock band The Darkness and a whole host of other acts make music in full view of the public.
Passers-by will be able to see into the glass pod and cameras and microphones will record the band's every moment, according to the Sun.
The concept of the show was developed by struggling Australian rock band Regurgitator at the end of 2004, but not as a TV show. The idea was then bought by Big Brother boss Peter Bazalgette who plans to bring the concept to TV screens across the UK.
A source told the Sun: "Regurgitator came up with the idea to try to get their career back on track.
"They set up in the middle of Melbourne and got sponsors as well as TV highlights. Now Big Brother creators Endemol want to turn it into a huge show here and around the world.
"The problem is finding the right band but The Darkness has just been approached."
