Comedian and actor Chris Langham has been charged with making indecent images of children, Kent police have confirmed.
The star of BBC's political satire The Thick of It was first arrested in November over allegations that he used his computer to download child porn.
And after returning to answer bail last night, the 57-year-old from Cranbrook in Kent was charged with 15 counts of making indecent images of children.
"Mr Langham has been bailed to appear before magistrates in Sevenoaks on May 17th," a Kent police spokesperson confirmed.
The married father-of-five has won widespread praise for his work in The Thick of It and won the best comedy actor award at the British Comedy Awards last year and a Bafta for best comedy performance this year.
He is also famous for playing Roy Mallard in People Like Us on radio and TV, and being the only British writer of the hit 1970s series, The Muppet Show.
Langham has also written and starred in numerous other BBC TV series, including Help alongside Paul Whitehouse and Kiss Me Kate with Caroline Quentin and Amanda Holden.
