It was only a matter of time, but Matt LeBlanc's Friends spin-off show has been cancelled by broadcaster NBC.
Joey, named after his affable Friends character, has been halted after viewing figures fell to just four million in March.
This represents a substantial and rapid decline from the massive total of 18.6 million viewers who tuned in to watch the first episode screened in 2004.
The show, which runs on Channel 4 in the UK, is expected to be replaced by a new wave of programming this year.
Where now for LeBlanc, who turns 39 in July, is uncertain.
Eternally typecast as the loveable if slightly shallow Friends character of Joey Tribbiani, LeBlanc has struggled for film parts and the offers are hardly flooding in.
His last silverscreen role came in 2003 with Charlies Angels: Full Throttle and he must be hoping another instalment, bringing with it another cameo role, is drawn up sooner rather than later.
