The two children of the late reality television star Jade Goody will not attend her funeral, it has been reported.

Five-year-old Bobby and Freddy, four, are believed to be too upset to attend the ceremony next Saturday and their father, Jeff Brazier, and grandmother Jackiey Budden are keen to spare the boys further pain.

"The boys are so young, Jackiey said she doesn't think their broken hearts will be able to bear it," a source was quoted by the Sun newspaper as saying.

"It's also about the safekeeping of their memories of their mum for when they are older."

Goody died last week at the age of 27 after a battle with cervical cancer and is to be buried in Bockhurst Hill, Essex, next weekend.

Her coffin will be driven from the estate in Bermondsey, south London, where she grew up, to St John the Baptist Church for the funeral service.

A statement on the website of funeral directors FA Albin & Sons said: "Jade's coffin will be carried by the company's vintage Rolls hearse followed by a cortege of four Daimler limousines and her favourite car, a Bentley.

"The family wish the service to be a grand celebration of her life with music chosen specially by Jade and with tributes led by close friends and family."

The statement added: "The church will hold around 350 people, there will be a PA system to relay the service to people outside the church. The service will also be shown on a screen inside the church hall which will seat a further 200 people."

The procession will then move to a private burial ground where Goody's family and friends will say their goodbyes.
