David Hasselhoff looks set to grant his legions of fans a real treat this Christmas by agreeing to star in a London stage production of Peter Pan.
The Baywatch star turned German rock god will appear in the panto alongside the ever-irritating Bobby Davro at New Wimbledon Theatre in south-west London.
Reports suggest he will be paid a cool £300,000 for his efforts, which will surely prove to be a worthwhile investment given the Hoff's unparalleled cult status.
A spokesman for panto organisers First Family Entertainment said the group was "absolutely delighted that David will be starring in Peter Pan" while a source suggested to The Sun that the financial bait proved irresistible.
"Panto is a really good earner and the money on offer was too good for David to miss," the insider said.
"He has a real affinity with the British public and loves visiting the UK. He was keen to work in theatre over here to entertain his legions of Baywatch fans, and is looking forward to panto season and Christmas in the UK."
