Adrian Pasdar, one of the stars of US series Heroes, has been arrested in Los Angeles on suspicion of drink-driving.
The 44-year-old was pulled over before dawn on Wednesday after his vehicle was spotted travelling at 94 mph and "straddling" two lanes.
According to a police report quoted by E! Online, "upon contacting Pasdar, [California Highway Patrol] officers noticed an odour of alcoholic beverage emitting from... within the vehicle".
Pasdar, who is married to Dixie Chicks singer Natalie Maines, was taken into custody and booked under suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
He was later released on $15,000 bail, with the celebrity website claiming the bail bond was high due to Pasdar's alleged refusal to take a breathalyser test.
Representatives for the actor, who plays Senator Nathan Petrelli on Heroes, have yet to comment on his arrest.
