David Tennant's final appearance in Doctor Who was watched by 10.4 million people last night, according to provisional figures.
The statistics, which are set to be finalised in a couple of weeks, show The End Of Time, Part Two, accounted for 35.5 of the total viewing on Friday night.
The episode saw Tennant regenerate into a new incarnation, played by Matt Smith, after an emotional farewell to the main characters featured in the revamped BBC series during the Scottish actor's time as the iconic time-traveller.
Tennant took over the role from Christopher Eccleston in 2005 and became the second-longest running Doctor behind Tom Baker.
The first half of the series finale, The End Of Time, Part One, was watched by an average 10.03 million people on Christmas Day.
