A 29-year-old woman has been sectioned under the Mental Health Act for stalking Little Britain star David Walliams.
Sarah Bartholomew visited the comedian's home, breaking a bail condition to leave the comedian alone and has admitted sending the star emails and love poems.
In one letter, she wrote: "I have to have you at any cost. I will kill or abduct you, to stop you seeing anyone else."
She had sent more than 1,000 pages of emails and letters to the actor since meeting him at a question-and-answer session in 2004 and began an aggressive approach to contacting the star when asked to desist.
She also brought gifts to Walliams' house just 48 hours after a court had ordered her to stay away.
Passing sentencing today, district judge Adrian Turner said Bartholomew was a "sad but not bad case" and explained she would remain at a psychiatric hospital until doctors decided she posed no threat to herself or anyone else.
"I am quite sure that a medical order is the appropriate action," he added.
She was also issued with a restraining order at Highbury magistrates' court in north London, banning her from contacting 36-year-old Walliams.
