A court hearing concerned with the alleged domestic violence case involving actor Charlie Sheen has been postponed after his wife was taken ill.
The Platoon star was due in court on Friday to learn whether a restraining order preventing him from contacting wife Brooke Mueller could be dismissed.
But the hearing has been postponed until February 8th after Mueller, 32, was admitted to hospital with a high fever after undergoing oral surgery.
The restraining order against Sheen, 44, was modified this week to allow the Two and a Half Men actor to visit his wife, with whom he is believed to have reconciled.
Sheen, one of the highest paid stars on American TV, is already due to appear in court on February 8th on charges of second degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief, having been arrested on Christmas Day.
According to police documents released after Sheen's arrest, he told Mueller: "You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I'll kill you.
"I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won't leave any trace," he is said to have added.
However, the pair are thought to be attempting to repair their marriage, with both parties' lawyers saying the couple remain "very much in love".
