The remaining Big Brother: Celebrity Hijack contestants were treated to an impromptu performance by the Sugababes last night.

After being ordered to remain in the bedroom for hours on end, the confused housemates emerged to find a stage hastily assembled in the living area.

Despite the recent eviction of fashion designer Jay Wilson and classical musician Calista Robertson, the final six contestants were fearful that they might be facing another surprise eviction.

Boxing hopeful Anthony Ogogo was less concerned however, commenting: "I'm not even going to speculate - I can't be arsed."

But to the group's surprise, chart-topping girl band the Sugababes appeared from the diary room and launched into their number one hit About You Now.

"That was bizarre for us," said Heidi Range after the performance, though Keisha Buchanan added: "We've had some weird gigs before, to be honest with you."

The three-piece enjoyed some champagne with the housemates before rising R 'n' B star Nathan Fagan-Gale was invited to sing by the hugely successful girl group.

"I've heard you've got a lovely voice," said Heidi, though Mobo-nominated Nathan grew suddenly nervous in the presence of the Push the Button stars.

"I'm not going on stage, we'll just do it here," he stammered, before Anthony shouted: "Come on, sing already," forcing Nathan to perform one of his songs.

Like many of the hijackers involved with the show, Keisha later sparred with Anthony as well as receiving a demonstration of circus performer Emilia Arata's enviable flexibility.
