A change in conditions in the Celebrity Big Brother house has made actor Stephen Baldwin "feel like Jesus", he has claimed.
Producers' early promise to put contestants through hell began to materialise on day 17 as the sugar was swapped for salt, the hot water turned off until further notice and the furniture replaced with less comfortable alternatives, among other changes.
While Stephanie Beacham and Sisqo wondered aloud if the new climate was an attempt to punish the group, Stephen claimed the "persecution" made him "feel like Jesus".
Aside from lecturing Vinnie Jones about white sugar being apparently more dangerous than smoking cigarettes, Stephen explained he was a "retired lady killer" and his life was now dedicated to "the good Lord, serving him, waiting for his return".
The Usual Suspects star revealed some of his unhinged tendencies after Stephanie noted two of the benches had been coated in honey, as he screamed into the camera: "I guess that's [Big Brother's] way of being sweet! Hahahahaha!"
Meanwhile, Dane Bowers was set two tasks by the 'Tree of Temptation' in the Celebrity Big Brother garden.
He failed the first, having been ordered to spoil the sauce for the evening's dinner by adding too much chilli powder, only for the group to complicate his cooking.
But the Another Level singer looked to have won the chance to end the group's suffering having completed his second task.
Dane awoke with a start in the night, after being instructed by the Tree to pretend to have had a nightmare, and sealed his victory after Nicola T gave him a sympathetic hug, fulfilling the Tree's demands.
