Celebrity Big Brother contestant Alex Reid says he has no intention of replacing Peter Andre as father to the singer's children.
Cage fighter Alex has been a regular feature in lives of Katie Price's children during their on-off relationship and has been frequently pictured with her son Harvey (fathered by footballer Dwight Yorke) as well as Price's offspring with Andre, Junior and Princess Tiaamii.
But Alex has stressed he would be keen to build bridges with the Mysterious Girl singer, despite tabloid reports of their dislike of one another.
"I've had a lot of stress over the last six months," Alex told Celebrity Big Brother housemate Vinnie Jones, adding: "It will be interesting to see how the press will have played [my time in the house]."
When Vinnie suggested Alex arrange a dinner meeting with Andre, the cage fighter said he assumed the Australian "must resent me".
Footballer turned actor Vinnie was keen to engineer a rapprochement, however, and stressed Alex explained he did not want to replace Peter as a dad, to which Alex agreed.
"[Andre] seems a good geezer," the Gone In Sixty Seconds star added, saying Alex should "put out the olive branch".
Alex seemed unconvinced, suggesting the press portrayed Andre as "Saint Pete" and Price as "the devil".
Meanwhile the housemates successfully completed a task in which they had to fill a wire-mesh bull shape with trays of offal.
