Aberdeen singer-songwriter Amber Wilson has been described as an alternative Duffy with echoes of Suzanne Vega, and she's started to receive interest from beyond the British Isles.
Her haunting vocals will be heard in South Africa this month as she plays a number of gigs there.
The artist, who has played alongside Seth Lakeman, Sandi Thom and Paolo Nuitini, is also writing the music for a forthcoming Canadian film.
Wilson spent September promoting her debut EP which is on the Jagged Roots label.
Her label is in the process of hammering out a digital distribution deal with a French label and discussing TV and film commissions with an agency in LA.
