Singer Justin Timberlake will not be bringing sexy back to actress Cameron Diaz after the pair officially announced that their relationship is over.
In a joint statement released by Diaz's spokesperson Brad Cafarelli, the couple have put an end to the rumours that have plagued the end of their three-year long relationship.
"It has always been our preference not to comment on the status of our relationship, but, out of respect for the time we've spent together, we feel compelled to do so now, in light of recent speculation and the number of inaccurate stories that are being reported by the media," the statement said.
"We have, in fact, ended our romantic relationship and have done so mutually and as friends, with continued love and respect for one another."
The statement from the couple did not elaborate on the "inaccurate" stories that have been circulating.
Rumours about the couple's split hit the media this week as Timberlake started his FutureSex/LoveShow tour. According to reports, the couple had split and Timberlake had begun a relationship with actress Scarlett Johansson.
Timberlake as yet has not elaborated on whether he is dating the 22-year-old actress.
