Acclaimed indie outfit the xx and Swedish dance act Fever Ray have been confirmed as new additions to the Bestival lineup.
On one of only three festival appearances in 2010, London trio the xx will appear at the Isle of Wight event on the Big Top stage, organiser Rob da Bank announced.
The xx's appearance will coincide with the screening of Saam Farahmand's installation 'xx: a Sculpture of the Album'; a 3D physical interpretation of the band's self-titled album which will play through the weekend in the onsite Bestival cinema.
And joining the likes of Dizzee Rascal, Flaming Lips and Hot Chip at the south coast festival will be Fever Ray, otherwise known as Karin Dreijer Andersson and one half of Swedish dance duo the Knife.
Commenting on the new additions to the lineup for the event at Robin Hill Country Park, Rob da Bank said: "OK, check this out for a triple whammy - my joint favourite band of last year the xx playing what will be a very rare UK festival appearance on our very own Isle of Wight, the audio-visual phenomenon that is Fever Ray with her only UK festival this year and to cap it all one of the most important electronic wizards about, Richie Hawtin, bringing his Plastikman guise to the Big Top.
"Selfishly these are three of the most played artists round the da Banks' at the moment and if you don't already own all the music get it now and get ready for September!"
Other artists performing include Gil Scott-Heron, LCD Soundsystem and BBC Sound of 2010 winner Ellie Goulding.
