Power cuts during Oasis' Heaton Park show have caused the Manchester band to offer full refunds to the 70,000 fans in attendance.
The Wonderwall stars were forced to leave the stage twice during their first Heaton Park show on Thursday night as their first and second songs were both disrupted by generator problems.
The Gallagher brothers and their band walked off to boos during their first Manchester concert in four years but returned after around 40 minutes to complete a hit-laden set.
"Really sorry about that," Liam Gallagher told the crowd after the band restarted their set with recent single The Shock of the Lightning. "This is a free gig now. Everyone will get a refund."
His brother Noel added: "The curfew's 11, but we'll play 'til they kick us off. Keep your ticket and you'll get your money back."
The band played a 24-song set in total, leaving the Heaton Park stage at 23:20 BST after their regular cover of the Beatles' I Am the Walrus.
It is estimated the technical problems would cost the band some £3 million if all fans returned their tickets, a fact Noel Gallagher seemed to acknowledge during the set when he considered the ramifications of promising refunds.
"We're not sure how it's gonna work with getting the money back," he told the crowd.
"[It'll] be on a website or something. We're not getting paid for this so buy a T-shirt on the way out. Credit crunch and that, keep my kids in sweets."
Oasis are also set to play Heaton Park on Saturday June 6th and Sunday 7th.
