It is "highly unlikely" that Roxy Music star Bryan Ferry will feature in anymore Marks and Spencer (M&S) clothing adverts, according to the retailer.
Ferry was embroiled in an argument earlier this year over comments he made to a German newspaper complimenting certain artistic aspects of the Nazi regime.
He told the Welt Am Sonntag newspaper that Leni Riefenstahl's movies and Albert Speer's buildings were "really beautiful", prompting anger from various groups.
Ferry later apologised for his comments which coincided with the singer's promotional duties for his new album Dylanesque.
M&S have refrained from commenting on the scandal and have said that it would be unusual for any model to feature in more than two seasons of modelling for the clothing range.
The singer fulfilled his contractual commitments by completing the photo shoots for the two seasons.
Ferry had been modelling the retailer's Autograph range and M&S faced calls at the time to publicly drop the singer from its campaigns.
The former Roxy Music frontman said at the time: "Like all sane people, I find the politics and policies of fascism and Nazism abhorrent and I deeply apologise to anyone who was unintentionally hurt by the way my comments were misrepresented."
