Michael Jackson's doctor has pleaded not guilty to charges of involuntary manslaughter relating to the legendary singer's death.
Dr Conrad Murray appeared in court in Los Angeles on Monday to face the charge of "unlawfully, and without malice, killing Michael Joseph Jackson".
The 56-year-old denied the charge and was bailed for $75,000 (£48,000).
A judge must now decide whether to proceed with a trial.
There has been fierce media speculation over the cause of Jackson's death after he collapsed at his home in Los Angeles at the age of 50 in June 2009 before later dying in hospital.
A coroner ruled his death had been a homicide, mainly caused by the anaesthetic Propofol.
Member's of Jackson's family were present in court yesterday to witness Dr Murray plead not guilty and post bail.
He is next due to appear in court on April 5th.
Jackson had hired Dr Murray in the build-up to his planned residency at London's O2 arena last summer.
